What equipment do I need to train at home?

Here is the equipment list you need to train at home with Mumbells.

You do not need an expensive setup or a room full of gear to get started with Mumbells. Our workouts are designed to be simple, accessible, and easily adaptable using basic equipment at home or in the gym.

Minimal Home Equipment Checklist

To get the absolute most out of your workouts at home, we recommend having the following basic items:

  • A pair of dumbbells: Choose a light-to-moderate weight that feels manageable and comfortable for your current stage of pregnancy or postpartum recovery.
  • Resistance bands: A set of small loop bands (mini-bands) and a long resistance band are great for targeted strength and stability work.
  • An exercise or yoga mat: Provides extra cushioning and traction for floor work, pelvic health exercises, and stretching.

Everyday Household Items You Can Use

No gym gear? No problem! Many of our sessions can be completed with everyday household furniture to support your movement:

  • A sturdy chair or sofa edge: Perfect for seated exercises, incline press-ups, or box squats.
  • A wall: Great for wall-sits, standing chest stretches, or light push variations during pregnancy.
  • The bottom step of your stairs: Ideal for step-ups, calf stretches, and elevated foot work.

What if I Train in a Gym?

If you prefer using a local gym, you are completely covered. While our programmes are written home-first, you will find full gym exercise options inside the app so you can easily switch to cable machines, barbells, or adjustable benches whenever you like.
